Visiting Scholars

The Centre welcomes visiting scholars, who are welcome to partake in guest lecturing and seminar programs on specialty topics. Limited campus resources can be made available. Adjunct Professor Chilla Bulbeck Women's Studies, University of Adelaide Visiting Scholar in S1 2006. Professor Sanjukta Dasgupta English department, University of Calcutta August 2005 Visiting Scholar who presented a paper in the Works in Progress Seminar series, entitled 'Feminism and Contemporary Bengali Women's Poetry'. Professor Dasgupta was sponsored by the Australia-India Council Australian Studies Fellowship Scheme. The title of her research project is Race, Gender and Location: Australian Women's Writing. Professor Dasgupta has published widely in literature and gender studies, critiquing and translating women's writing in local and global contexts. She is foundation editor of Families: a journal of representations, and is a poet.
