Dr Jacqueline Van Gent

Jacqueline Van Gent was born in East Germany and migrated to Australia in 1990. She wrote her PhD on gender, body and the self in Swedish witchcraft in the eighteenth century, which has been published (Brill, 2008). Her postdoctoral work was undertaken in the field of Indigenous people, gender and religious change in Australia. She joined Women's Studies in 2004 and is a Senior Lecturer.
