Outskirts: feminisms along the edge is a feminist cultural studies journal published online twice yearly in May and November. It provides a space in which new and challenging critical material from a range of disciplinary perspectives and addressing a range of feminist topics and issues are brought together to discuss and contest contemporary and historical issues involving women and feminisms. Current Issues Volume 21 Nov 2009 featuring articles on representing Muslim women, ecofeminism and fantasy writing, and calls for papers.
Volume 20 May 2009 Themed Issue On Fictocriticism articles by Moya Costello, Anne Brewster, Rosslyn Prosser, Majena Mafe, Helen Flavell, Barbara Brooks, plus teaching curricula and reflection.
Future Issues Archived Issues from 1996 Submissions are welcome from all feminist researchers; in particular we encourage postgaduate researchers and emerging scholars to publish with Outskirts. Outskirts style guide is here. Outskirts is a fully refereed journal. ISSN 1445-0445 (use this ISSN to locate refereed status in Ulrichs) Outskirts is ranked an "A" journal by the Australian Research Council's ERA Outskirts is produced through the discipline of Women's Studies at the University of Western Australia. It is supported by a group of Editorial Consultants, and through the independepent academic referees who generously give their time and expertise.
