Honours

Joint Honours in Women’s Studies and another discipline provides the opportunity to build on undergraduate interests and to develop independent research skills. It is usually undertaken in 1 year full time, and can also be taken part time.

Honours involves taking 4 Honours Seminar units and a 12000-15000 word dissertation.
Your dissertation would be supervised by one of the Women's Studies academic staff, on a topic of your own choosing in consultation with staff.
The Seminars are sourced from the joint discipline, like English & Cultural Studies, Communication Studies, or History, for example. Women's Studies Seminars are sometimes offered in English & Cultural Studies, and in History.

Honours Seminars offered recently include:

Fictocriticism: writing the body (available s1 2009)
Gender and Prophecy: East and West (available s1 2008)
Witchcraft: European and postcolonial perspectives
