Women's Studies at the University of Western Australia offers interdisciplinary courses at
undergraduate level, The staff are dynamic researchers engaged in a range of scholarly research activities around themes including the history and politics of gender relations; sexualities; activism; intersections of race, class and gender; feminist theory and the body, work and technology. An online journal, Outskirts: feminisms along the edge, is published twice annually. In 2008 the Australian Women's and Gender Studies Association's biannual Conference was hosted at UWA around the theme of Vision, Memory, Spectacle. |
